Our Story

Starting in 1856 the Fly Creek Cider Mill continues to serve residents and visitors of Historic Fly Creek, New York.

The Fly Creek Cider Mill & Orchard is a historic, water-powered mill on the banks of Fly Creek in the heart of beautiful Central New York just minutes from Cooperstown. For 166 years visitors have witnessed the pressing of fresh, sweet and delicious cider creating an experience that has become a tradition shared by generations.

The Mill Store Marketplace is the heart of activity offering more than over 150 specialty food products, many made right at the Mill. Daily offerings include apple salsa, zesty salad dressings, hot sauces, preserves, extra-sharp, Mill-aged cheddar cheese and Mill-made fudge.

In 2016 the Mill was completely renovated to allow for expanded viewing if the second-story cider-making area.   The new Learning Center is now the prime viewing area to witness the cider-making process on fall weekends.  When not running a video demonstration may be viewed in the Cider Gallery.
