The Cider Run 5K & 10K Race - Saturday April 26

The Big Buddy Program, coordinated by Delaware Opportunities Inc., serves at-risk youth in Delaware and Otsego Counties and is proud to partner with the Fly Creek Cider Mill and the Cider Run Planning Committee to bring you the second annual Cider Run. The 2014 event is set to take place on Saturday, April 26, at the Fly Creek Cider Mill.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the Big Buddy Program. The Big Buddy Program offers children between the ages of 5 and 14 the opportunity to have a one-on-one relationship with a big buddy volunteer.

Race day registration will begin at 8 a.m. and the race will begin at 10 a.m. Participants who register before April 1 will receive a t-shirt and commemorative pint glass filled with hard or sweet cider. To register, visit www.delawareopportunities.org. 

There, you can print a PDF of the registration form to mail in, or you can register online. All participants will be required to sign a waiver, which can also be found online.

The registration fee before April 1, is $25 ($15 for those twelve and under). After April 1, the fee is $30 ($20 for those twelve and under) and give aways are not guaranteed.

Cider Run Pre-Registration Deadline UPDATE:

The second annual Cider Run, featuring a 10K run, 5K run, and 5K walk is set to take place on Saturday, April 26, at the Fly Creek Cider Mill. This year’s event will benefit the Big Buddy program, which serves at-risk youth in Delaware and Otsego Counties. The Big Buddy program is coordinated by Delaware Opportunities.

Participants are encouraged to register before April 1 to be guaranteed a t-shirt and commemorative pint glass (to be filled with hard or sweet cider). After April 1, the registration fee for adults will be raised from $25 to $30 and for children 12 and under from $15 to $20.

Opportunities to sponsor The Cider Run and have your business name and/or logo appear on the t-shirt are still available and range from $100-$500. Questions should be emailed to CiderRun5k@gmail.com.
