Annual Tourism Industry Brochure Exchange May 13, 2015
Gems Along the Mohawk, Herkimer, NY – On Wednesday, May 13th, the Regional Tourism Industry will gather at Gems Along the Mohawk in Herkimer for the Annual Regional Tourism Industry Brochure Exchange hosted by Erie Canal Cruises.
Starting at 5:00 PM, Tourism Industry members such as accommodation providers, restaurants, attractions and museums will check-in, park their cars, open their trunks, share printed promotional material and promote their organizations.
“This is the best free networking opportunity for restaurants, attractions and hotels to gather area information for distribution at their properties,” says Captain Jerry Gertz, owner of Erie Canal Cruises. “Additionally registered attendees will get a better idea of what is available for visitors to experience as many use the exchange to showcase their properties.”
Tourism businesses and organizations from Herkimer, Oneida, Otsego, Schoharie and Chenango Counties are invited to participate in the exchange. Captain Gertz says, “Visitors are not concerned with county lines, working collectively to promote one other best serves the visitor and the region’s tourism organizations.”
Following the exchange at 6:30pm, Erie Canal Cruises will offer a complimentary dinner cruise for registered participants aboard Lil’ Diamond III. The Italian Buffet, catered by the Waterfront Grille, will be accompanied by beverages from regional craft producers. Registration for the Exchange is unlimited. Due to occupancy restrictions, registration for the dinner cruise will be limited to the first 80 industry members with a maximum of two per organization. Pre-registered organizations will receive tickets to the dinner cruise at check-in. Available open seats will be filled the day of the event.
