Taste of Fly Creek Series Features Hot Sauces
 
Thursday through Sunday the Fly Creek Cider Mill & Orchard continues its Taste of Fly Creek Series with its wide array of Hot Sauces. 
 
Five of the Mill’s top selling sauces will be sampled along with holiday recipe ideas that will spice up any picnic. Hot sauces all share in common the use of chili peppers, including Jalapeno, Habanero, Cayenne, and Chipoltes [smoked jalapenos]. They are infused in vinegar and salt, or oil, and other ingredients are added to add extra heat, such as capsaicin and mustards. Other ingredients are used to add flavor, mellow the heat, and thicken the sauce. Learn how to make spicy chicken strips and hot wings for a summer BBQ.
 
Sampling hours will be 10:00 – 4:00 every day. There is no fee for this special event and parking is free. The Mill is open daily 9:00 – 6:00. For more information, directions and special coupons visit the Mill’s website at www.flycreekcidermill.com.
