PRESSED INTO SERVICE

Mill announces management positions

Fly Creek, NY - The Fly Creek Cider Mill & Orchard announces the promotion of Lin Molloy and Kathy Barrett to a new level of management at the Mill. Lin Molloy has been selected as Personnel and Inventory Manager and Kathy Barrett as Retail Experience Manager. Both managers are responsible for the experience a customer has with the Mill staff and the merchandise and exhibits it has to offer.

Kathy Barrett is a familiar smiling face at the Mill having been employed as supervising cashier for many years. Kathy’s new position of Retail Experience Manager equips her to implement new goals set forth this winter by the owners, Brenda and Bill Michaels, as well as to provide each visitor a pleasant and memorable experience which is part of the Mill´s mission. "Through the merchandise we offer, the displays we present and the overall appearance of the Mill, Kathy will ensure a positive first and lasting experience for each customer," said Brenda Michaels.

Lin Molloy hails from the insurance industry with an eye towards organization and a personality that will make working at the Mill even more fun. Brenda Michaels, President & CEO, said "our largest annual investment is in our team members. Lin’s role in team management will ensure that our staff is well informed, trained and motivated to provide an exceptionally high level of customer service. In this business it is the service that sets us apart from the larger chain stores. Creating this management step confirms our commitment to customers that we will provide them superior service."

The two new management positions will allow the Mill’s owners more time to concentrate on new ventures, products and positioning that will guide and shape the Mill’s continuing success. "We are proud to create these full-time positions in our county that allow for the growth and training of individuals that share our mission and goals. Agri-tourism businesses are important to the economic and cultural segments of our rural economy, and small businesses are the starting place for growth and job creation. We anticipate further growth here at the Mill and welcome the commitment of both Lin and Kathy," said the Michaels.

The Mill will open for its 147th season on May 23rd featuring many new lines of products such as tasty barbeque seasonings and refreshing summer dips and salsas. For more information about the Mill, visit their website at www.flycreekcidermill.com.
