Fly Creek Cider Mill heads back to school to add more flavor for 150th Year!

Buffalo, NY - In preparation for their 150th year, management and staff from the Fly Creek Cider Mill & Orchard in Fly Creek brushed up on techniques and learned new skills at the Rich Baking Company World Headquarters in Buffalo. Bob Tavern and Bill Michaels attended the intensive two-day course that worked with breads, doughnuts, cookies and pastry. "We learned many different methods of filling our bakery case with sweets and treats. As our season progresses Bob and I will incorporate what we have learned into our menu," said Bill Michaels, co-owner of the Mill.

Opening day is set for Friday, May 12 at 9:00 am. New on the menu this year is a signature pot roast sandwich topped with the Mill’s Old English Horseradish Sauce. The Mill has enhanced its product offering with many sauces and spreads to be sampled and to be enjoyed on-site with sandwiches and salads. Beyond all these tempting flavors the Mill is offering a complete line-up of newly styled Vera Bradley bags that are widely popular.

On Thursday, May 18 the Cooperstown Chamber of Commerce will host "Business After Hours" at the Mill from 5:00 to 7:00 with special tastings for members and guests.
